Infinite Internal Resources, when Seen and Supported.

Dogmatism in psychological theory and in practice can be dangerous. I work only with exceptionally and profoundly gifted children and adults, who are idiosyncratic and complex. The laying down of rigid frameworks would be ill-conceived, likely useless, and could cause injury.
Even the youngest exceptionally/profoundly gifted person has a strong sense of self, a defined inner psychic milieu and, in the right conditions, a vast capacity for self-knowing and an instinct for development, across many aspects of experience. Respect for these capacities and these instincts matters.
This awareness and respect is the necessary basis for a truly compassionate and informed approach to understanding another human being. It is the foundational basis of a strong therapeutic alliance which bodes well for healthy growth and development.
